Japan has finally started recruiting Pakistani IT professionals through its new immigration policy for work visas.

According to a handout from the Japanese Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,

Japanese recruitment agency has started

in earnest to onboard and second IT personnel for Japanese companies from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”

Most professionals are recruited from schools and large companies.

This merely suggests that professionals with or without skills would take advantage of this opportunity.

Japan is very interested in IT engineers and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has so far

become an attractive destination for its needs. According to statistics from the Japanese Ministry of Economy,

Trade and Commerce, the country will be short of around 790,000 IT professionals by 2030.

Who needs a work visa for Japan?

Any foreigner who intends to live and work in Japan for any period of time is required to have a Japan work visa.

Although there are nationals of several countries who are exempt from the visa requirement for Japan,

these exemptions only apply to those arriving for tourists, short-term visitors, and business people or for other recreational purposes.

For long-term stays (work, study, family reunification), everyone must apply for an appropriate Japan visa.

What jobs are eligible for a Japan work visa?

The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides a list of occupations eligible for a Japanese work visa:

Artists such as photographers, composers, songwriters, sculptors, etc.

Executives, such as company presidents, directors, etc.

Engineers or humanities scholars or international service providers, such as

B. Scientific or IT engineers,

translators or copywriters,

foreign language teachers,

designers, etc.

Entertainers such as actors, musicians, singers, dancers, athletes, etc.

Educator or teacher in elementary, middle or high school.

Intra-corporate transfer (someone transferred to a Japanese branch of a company)

Journalists such as newspaper or magazine reporters, editors, news cameramen, announcers, etc.

Legal or auditors, such as lawyers, court clerks, auditors, tax consultants, etc.

Medical services such as doctors,

dentists, pharmacists, nurses, etc.

A professor, such as a university professor or assistant professor, etc.

What documents do I need to apply for a Japan work visa?

When applying for a Japan work visa, you must submit the following supporting documents.

Eligibility Certificate

Your valid passport with its photocopies

Passport photographs with the following specifications:

Dimensions: 4cm x 3cm

Recorded in the last three months.

You need to start with straight neutral facial expressions.

Your face should be fully visible.

Image should be of good quality (focused, clear and sharp).

Documents that show your position in the company/organization, the salary you receive and the length of time you have worked.

The Documents that prove your previous school and professional career.

Documents related to the receiving company, such as company registration, profit and loss account, etc.

For artists: All documents that demonstrate your artistic achievements.

For religious workers:

Documents showing the details of the religious organization sending you to Japan.

The Documents showing the details of the receiving Japanese organization.

Documents proving your religious position and career

For researchers:

Documents related to the receiving organization

Educational and professional qualifications

For trainers or teachers:

Documents related to the receiving organization

Educational qualification or educational license.

For intra-corporate transfers: Documents evidencing the relationship between the two branches/enterprises.

Any additional documents requested by the Japanese embassy or consulate depending on your occupation
