If you are using Windows 10 or 7, you can check the generation of your laptop by following these steps.

Check generation of the processor of my laptop:

1. Right-click on “This PC” or “My computer icon” on your desktop.
2. Click properties from the menu.
3. Look for “processor” under the system section. It will show something like “Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-3520M CPU @ 2.90GHz.” The number at the position of this bold 3 will be the generation of your laptop’s processor.

Generation of my laptop:

As 8th is the number after i3 so, the generation of this laptop is 8th.
