The Government of Pakistan has established a flood relief fund, the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund, 2022, to provide relief and rehabilitation to victims of torrential rains and flash floods in many parts of the country.
The fund accepts donations/contributions from national and international sources. The fund is administered by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) while the Accountant General maintains the accounts of the Pakistan Revenue Fund.
The State Bank of Pakistan opened the Prime Minister Flood Relief Fund Account, 2022, while all commercial and microfinance banks also opened the fund account and received donations/contributions in cash through cheques, money orders and drafts. All of their branches across the country
Various options are available for donors to donate/donate to the fund as detailed below:-
Donors from abroad:
Bank Wire Transfer: Overseas donors, including overseas Pakistanis, can make a donation to the Fund via bank wire transfer to the fund account held with their respective bank.
They simply instruct their respective bank to transfer the donation amount to the fund account by direct debit. Banks transfer the donation amount to the State Bank.
Remittance through money service bureaus, money transfer companies and bureaux de change: Donors residing abroad can also donate/contribute in this way according to the arrangements made for home remittance. Banks that receive such a transfer transfer the amount to the State Bank.

Transfer through Money Service Bureaus, Money Transfer Operators and Exchange Houses: Overseas donors may also donate / contribute through these modes in line with the arrangements in place for receiving home remittances. Banks receiving such remittances transfer the amount to the SBP.
