According to Ubaidullah, he and his friends were working as usual when suddenly there was a flood and they were moving towards a safe place,
but due to the intensity of the flood, they were left standing on a stone in the middle. He said that he and his friends’ work vehicles were also submerged in the flood and they waited for help on the rock for five hours instead of two or three.
According to him, they stone from 8 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon But they kept waiting for help and the residents of the area were also present at a short distance from them, but all of them were forced due to the rapid flood.
Ubaidullah said
that his relatives and residents of the area informed the provincial administration and elected representatives about the situation and also appealed to send rescue teams and helicopters to help all the people.
He said that all his friends, including him, had hope and belief that someone would come to help them, but it did not happen and when the flood intensified suddenly, they were all swept away.
In response to a question, Obaidullah said that all his other friends were very scared, but they were ready to get out of the flood with the help of ropes.
Because of this, they were seen as the most tied up and perhaps because of this, they survived. He said that the flood had drowned all those people and they had also gone into the water but they managed to get out with the help of ropes and there was no way to save the rest of the people.
According to him, all his other companions were swept away in the fast water and the government has neither contacted them nor found out who those dead people were.
Obaidullah described the provincial and local administration as the most incompetent administration and complained that despite being saved,
no one has come to him till date and it is surprising that the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has not met him despite visiting his area.
