The government of Punjab issued new timetables for all private and public schools of the province. Schools have to abide by these timetables from 16 October to onwards.
Schools have the option to run in either one shift or two shifts. Schools can follow a specific schedule based on the number of shifts.
Single shift schools:
Single shift schools can operate six days a week and can remain open from 8 am to 1:30 pm, and they can close at 12:30 on Friday.
Two shifts schools:
These schools also can operate six days a week. The first shift should be from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm, while the second shift should be from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. The second shift of schools can remain open on Friday from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Authorities allowed schools to arrange breaks during school timing. At the same time, they asked the schools to maintain proper social distancing and follow SOPs.
