Swati got arrested from his home located in Islamabad. This action took place with the help of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and they took him to the senior civil judge Shabbir Bhatti’s court, located in the capital. FIA enrolled the case of Swati on Wednesday, the night before his arrest.

Swati had the support of a colleague of PTI, Babar Awan as a lawyer in the court. Before the court proceeded, security agencies requested a 7-day physical remand, so they could do extensive research on the arrest to clarify the scenario. The counselor of Swati, who was with him throughout, disclosed that the police officers inside the jail badly tortured him. He endured 3rd-degree torture, which is immoral if the arrest grounds are on political bases.

After some time, the court ordered two-day physical remand. Among the influential leaders of PTI and Imran Khan, Swati is one of the three seniors the FIA arrested after Hamid Zaman and Saifullah Khan Niazi. Hamid Zaman and Saifullah got arrested for default in the party’s funding.

After the statement of the counselor of Swati about the torture, a medical board sat down to do a thorough medical checkup of Swati and declared the PTI member medically fit. The board has members of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) located in the capital of Pakistan.

It came in the news that he had made highly obnoxious and intimidating comments against several high-ranked people, including the army chief. He tweeted the name of the army chief along with the current prime minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, and his son Hamza Shehbaz.

The information report FIR at the FIA center in Islamabad stated that he had deceitful intentions and concealed reasons against the state institutions of Pakistan. The FIR also stated that he made a mischievous act of subversion, targeted directly, and blamed the State institution of Pakistan. He made an evasive attempt to affect the State of Pakistan.

The court stated that the accounts Swati was having technical problems. That is why the court ordered two-day remand to do an investigation against the social media accounts of the accused.

Several rallies of PTI workers supported Swati, and many senior workers condemned this arrest, including PTI General Secretary Asad Umar. All these rallies shouted slogans about the tortures Swati had to endure during his arrest. PTI chairman Imran Khan also made a recent statement about this arrest; he stated if any institution of Pakistan thinks he can gain respect by torturing a living being, they are at fault. You can never gain respect by doing this to others.
