University Student Arrested In Karachi Over Charges Of ‘Terror Financing’

The counter-Terrorist Department Sindh arrested a student of Karachi’s University overcharge of financing international terror.

“The arrested student was trying to flee from Karachi. He was involved in financing militants in Syria. Hafiz Umer bin Khalid (the arrested student) has reportedly sent 1 million rupees to ISIS.”

According to CTD, the arrested student is a final year student of the university, and he used to send money with the help of his friend who lives in Hyderabad. He used to gather funds and send them to Pakistani women who moved to Syria to marry militants.

The arrested student was doing financial support for terrorists for two years. He is also suspected of being an associate of a Person called Saad, a member of Al-Qaida.
